Treasurer Adam Layne

A graduate of The George Washington University, a former St. Louis Public Schools teacher, the son of immigrants, and now: the new Treasurer of the City of St. Louis. As our city moves towards a period of unprecedented change and opportunity, Adam Layne brings a fresh and energetic approach to the treasurer’s office, one which is grounded in a lived experience which recognizes the structural issues facing St. Louisans.

Adam is committed to using the tools of his office to help tackle the societal ills that hold our city and its people back - from the insidious cycle of poverty, to crises in public health and education. We’re proud to be joining Treasurer Layne as he goes to work for St. Louis, and are so excited to see how he builds on his office’s commitment to quality, transparency, and equity.

Why this campaign is #PoweredByMOPolitical: As formed Deputy Chief of Staff to Treasurer Tishaura Jones, Adam is no stranger to the office he currently leads. His experience and wholehearted dedication to public service over political gain is a true inspiration, and we know he’ll make an incredible difference in the lives of many who call our city home.
