A nonprofit founded as a result of the ferguson uprisings,

Action STL is driven by a mission to enact “collective direct action against systemic racism and state violence.” Its core values include abolition, Black feminism, base-building, self-determination, leadership development, and inclusivity. ACTION has led the movement in Closing the Workhouse, creating the People’s Plan, and helped elect Black leaders to office in the St. Louis region.

Kayla Reed is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of ACTION STL, and she is also a lead strategist in the Movement for Black Lives, co-founding the Electoral Justice Project. You can learn more about ACTION STL and sign up to volunteer at the link below.
