A.J. Hessburg is a graduate of Butler University with degrees in Political Science and International Studies.

They got their start in politics at seven years old when their parents brought them phone banking for Obama. Ever since then, politics has been a passion that has turned into a career. A.J. was a Field Organizer for Mayor Tishaura Jones’s campaign in 2021.

In their free time, A.J. likes to read, hike, and watch the Blues play. They are also the Board Secretary of the Missouri Biodiversity Project, a foundation dedicated to preserving Missouri’s unique natural ecosystems.
